TITLE-HOLDER DAWN IN LAST FOUR OF ANGUS COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP

Teenager Dawn Dewar from Monifieth is through to the last four in her defence of the Angus women's county golf championship at Royal Montrose. In next Sunday's semi-finals she will face Donna Carcary (Montrose Mercantile) while Jane Tough (Brechin) will play Susan McGregor (Edzell).
Leading qualifier Shonagh Raitt (Forfar) was a surprise first-round casualty. She was beaten at the 20th by Janet Henderson (Montrose Mercantile).
