Dunbartonshire & Argyll holder in semi-finals again
Claire McNeil (Milngavie), last year's Dunbartonshire & Argyll women's
county golf title-holder, is through to this morning's (Thursday) semi-finals
of the championship at Douglas Park.
Claire, the No 3 qualifier, had 5 and 4 wins over Miriam Dalglish (Balmore)
and Ashley Kerr (Windyhill) to reach the last four. She will play Scottish
girls international Gemma Webster (Hilton Park), the No 2 seed, for a
place in the final.
The other semi-final will be between leading qualifier Sara Bishop (Windyhill)
and No 5 qualifier Fiona McLean (Hilton Park). Sara had two of the biggest
wins of the match-play programme, beating Windyhill clubmate Christine
Kelly by 7 and 5 and Scottish veterans international team member Helen
Faulds (Douglas Park) by 6 and 5.
