Young Krystle in Fife semi-finals

Caithness, only 14 years old, reached Sunday morning's semi-finals of
the Fife women's county golf championship at St Andrews Bay's Torrance
course by knocking out St Regulus club-mate Fiona Lockhart on Saturday
evening.
Young Krystle birdied the 19th hole to earn a place in the last four against
Jo Carthew (Ladybank) who beat former Scottish champion Elaine Moffat
(St Regulus) by 4 and 3. Jo was beaten finalist 12 months ago.
In the first round of the match-play Alison White (St Rule) beat defending
champion Susan Millar (Kirkcaldy) at the 20th but then Mrs White lost
in the quarter-finals to former Scotland international and four times
past Fife champion Lorna Bennett (Ladybank).
Miss Bennett's opponent for a place in the final will be Lorna Fury (Thornton),
winner of the title in 1999.
