The
Scottish Ladies Golfing Association is producing a special 28-page programme
for the Centenary Scottish Ladies' (Close) Amateur Championship, to
be played over the Old Course, St Andrews from May 19 to 23.
Packed into the 28 pages are the story of how it all began
at the same course 100 years ago; a feature on Alexa Glover who was
the first title winner at the age of only 19, pen pictures and photographs
of the players who have won the title most times, and many more interesting
facts and championship information.
All 132 competitors will receive a free copy.
Copies, which are certain to become a collector's item,
will be available to members of the public at the bargain price of only
£1.
They will be on sale at the SLGA Tournament Office behind
the first tee at the Old Course for the duration of the championship
but you can get a copy sent to you by writing to the SLGA, Scottish
National Golf Centre, Drumoig, Leuchars, St Andrews KY16 0DW, enclosing
a cheque made out to "SLGA" for £2 which includes P&P.
