SALLY HAS A 75 IN THUNDERBIRD
JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL EVENT
AT SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA

Florida-based Sally Watson, 15, from South Queensferry had a first-round score of three-over-par 75 in the girls' section of the Thunderbird Junior International tournament over the 6,271yd girls' Raptor course at Grayhawk Golf Club, Scottsdale in Arizona.

A double bogey 6 at the 10th and a bogey at the 12th knocked her back to five over, but she finished strongly with birdies at the 14th and 18th for 37 home to be joint 12th in a strong international field.
