VIKKI JOINT SIXTH WITH ONE ROUND
TO GO IN US STEEL CLASSIC

US-based Vikki Laing from Musselburgh was joint sixth going into the third and final round of the United States Steel Classic at Lost Marsh Golf Club near Lake Michigan.
The Scot, pictured right, who has found her most consistent form for some time on the US Futures Tour this season, has had rounds of 75 and 73 for a four-over-par tally of 148 over a 6,210yd, par-72 course with hard and fast (Stimp meter reading: 11.6) greens and a wind off the lake that seldom goes away.
Londoner Polly Willett is in joint 54th place of the 76 qualifiers on 157 or better. Polly has had a pair of 78s.
Leading the field by two strokes is Canadian Kim Brozer from Alberta with two 71s for two-under-par 142.
