JODI WINS AWARD FOR BEING A
WINNER ON GOLF COURSE
- AND IN CLASSROOM

Yorkshire golf star Jodi Ewart, pictured right, is a winner on the course and in the classroom – and her skills have won her a special award from the English Ladies Golf Association.
The 19-year-old English stroke-play champion from Catterick Golf Club has received the Silver Tee award for the way she combines her golf with her education. She’s an England international and one of the top players on the US women’s college circuit, where she is a second-year student at New Mexico University.
Jodi is studying exercise science and achieving high grades in her academic work.
Before starting her university career Jodi won her first full England cap as a 17-year-old. She has also helped win a gold medal and two bronzes at European team championships.
Yorkshire county captain Sue Milner accepted the award on Jodi’s behalf at the ELGA annual meeting. She said: “Jodi is a real inspiration for young girl golfers, combining her academic career and maintaining an amazing standard of golf, representing her county and country.”
