Orange Blossom Tour finale at Orangebrook GC

Leading qualifiers Kelly Calkin and Kristy McLaughlin fired six birdies in a 12-hole match to easily defeat the twosome of Susan Rampleberg and Bronwyne Bruner by 7 and 6 in the first of the quarter-finals of the 62nd Women's International Four-ball tournament at Orangebrook Golf Club, Hollywood in Florida today.
McLaughlin birdied the first, 10th, 11th and 12th while partner Kelly added birdies on the fourth, ninth and 12th.
2007 Women’s Senior champion Anna Schultz and her partner, Jewell Malick of Rockwell, Texas, squeezed past former champions Diane Lang and Monica Von Glahn.
Mid–Am champion and Curtis Cup selection Meghan Bolger, pictured left in action earlier today, and her partner Jill Hardy defeated two of the game’s legends, Carole Thompson (skipper of the US team for St Andrews at the end of May) and Marlene Streit by 3 and 2.
In the last match Taffy Brower and Ann Pohira came from behind to edge out Barbara Pagana and Bonnie George by 2 and 1.
This is the fourth and last event on the 2008 Orange Blossom Tour.
