ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR THE HACIENDA
DEL ALAMO WOMENS WINTER
GOLF FESTIVAL IN SUNNY SPAIN

The inaugural Hacienda del Alamo Women´s Winter Golf Festival tees off at the five-star Murcia golf resort later this morning with the first round of the 36-hole Murcia Ladies Open.
Injuries to Scotland amateur international Emily Ogilvy from Auchterarder and Lauren MacCallum from Ellon have not cleared up in time for them to take their place in the line-up but both made the trip to enjoy the sunshine.
Ireland are strongly represented both in the professional and the amateur fields.
Claire Coughlan and Martina Gillen are expected to be leading contenders for the 500 Euros first pro prize, donated by Stewart Spence, the owner of The Marcliffe at Pitfodels Hotel & Spa on the western suburbs of Aberdeen.
The amateur prize lists have been generously supported by the Glenmuir company whose headquarters are at Lanark but who have built up a global standing.
At the weekend, it was cool before the sun rose and after the sun set but between times it was just like a typical Scottish summer´s day, possibly even better.
We´ll have the first round scores displayed for you at the end of each day´s play in the Festival which consists of six events and runs for two weeks.
