Kimberley, competing from a buggy,
is a first for Aberdeenshire girls

Louise McGillivray (Banchory) had the best scratch score of 80 in today's Aberdeenshire girls' medal at Inverurie Golf Club.
Next best with an 83 was Megan Clyne (Deeside) with Rachel Polson (Peterculter) third on 84.
Kristina Vannet, daughter of the Peterculter Golf Club director of golf, had the lowest net score of the day - a net 68 off 17, despite losing a ball off her first tee shot to start with a 6 and finishing with a 7 after tree trouble at the 18th.
Kimberley Beveridge (Aboyne) made Aberdeenshire girls' golfing history by becoming the first player to be transported in a buggy between shots in one of the county junior medals.
Kimberley, who is 13, has had a hip operation and is unable to walk round a golf course at this stage of her recovery. She has competed in her home club Aboyne's competitions with her dad Allan driving the buggy - Kimberley is too young to drive - and that arrangement was continued at Inverurie today.
Playing off a handicap of 12, Kimberley had a net score of 76.

***In 1998, a disabled American professional golfer, Casey Martin, 25, who could not walk long distances, won the right to play on the US PGA Tour using a motorised buggy.
The Tour opposed Martin but, after a six-day hearing, a US Court granted him a legal right to use the buggy at all pro tournaments. Martin later lost his player's card because he did not score well enough.
