Laura Davies scores 71st career

victory at Rabat, Morocco

Laura Davies is still going strong at the age of 44. The English player has won the Lalla Meryem Cup over the Royal Dar Es Salam Golf Club course on Saturday at Rabat, Morocco by three shots with rounds of 67, 69 and 70 for a 13-under-par total of 206.
It was Laura's 71st title worldwide, following her successful defence of the Austrian Open title a month or two ago.
Spain's Tania Elosegui was runner-up on 209 at Rabat and defending champion Gwladys Nocera (France) third on 212. The event is played in conjunction with the men's Hassan II Trophy over 72 holes, won on Sunday by South African Ernie Els who came from behind to finish in front of third-round leader Simon Dyson (England). .
