Jodi Ewart joint 7th in Lady Puerto Rico

Classic at Coco Beach, San Juan

Curtis Cup player Jodi Ewart from Catterick, a student at New Mexico University, finished joint seventh in a field of 87 for the Lady Puerto Rico Classic at Coco Beach, San Juan over a par-72, 6168yd course.
Jodi, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, had rounds of 74, 74 and 75 for a total of 223 - four shots behind Laura Nochta (Indiana) and Maria Herenandez (Purdue) who both totalled three-over-0par 219.
Laura scored 72, 74 and 73, Maria 75, 72 and 73.
Nathalie Manson (Tennessee) came third on 220 with scores of 77, 70 and 73.
Spain's Marta Silva (Georgia) (73-74-74) and French-Canadian Maude Aimee Leblanc (75-73-73) shared fourth place on 221.
Scotland's Rebecca Watson (Tennessee) came 32nd on 233 with scores of 79, 79 and 75.

***Jodi Ewart
has been awarded another honour in US college golf. She’s been selected for an anniversary team of 10 top college players, chosen to celebrate the first decade of the Mountain West Conference. Jodi, 21, from Catterick in Yorkshire, is a student at the University of New Mexico, which is part of the Mountain West Conference. Anniversary teams will be chosen for each of the 19 conference-sponsored sports during the 2008-09 season.
The women’s golf anniversary team was picked by a combined panel of media, institutional and conference personnel, and an online fan poll. Jodi, a Curtis Cup golfer, is the only player in conference history to win two individual titles (2007 and 2008). She was named MWC Freshman of the Year and co-Player of the Year in both 2007 and 2008.
CHARLENE REID (4th) HELPS PFEIFFER WIN TEAM TITLE

Northern Ireland's Charlene Reid (Pfeiffer University) from Antrim tied for fourth place in a field of 71 for the two-round Newberry College Invitational at Moss Creek Golf Club, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Charlotte had scores of 78 and 80 for a total of 158 -11 shots behind the winner, Daniela Iacobelli (Florida Tech), who scored 75 and 72 for three-over 147 - but only one behind the joint second paire, Brittany Beltran (77-80), also of Pfeiffer, and Newberry's Maria Luz (76-81).
Charlene's effort helped Pfeiffer win the team title by the big margin of 22 shots from North Carolina Pembroke in a field of 15 teams
