Kathleen Sutherland top seed

for Angus match-play stages

Home course player Kathleen Sutherland, who scored the last of her Angus women's county championship victories in 1995, earned herself the top seeding for the match-play stages of this year's tournament with a round of 75 at Montrose Links today.
Kathleen, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, had a shot to spare over Heather Anderson (Alyth) and Lynne Fenton (Carnoustie Ladies), the title-winner in 1998 and 1999.
Defending champion Rebecca Wilson (Monifieth), a Stirling University student, qualified in fourth place with a 78.
The match-play stages start on Sunday, May 3 and conclude on Sunday, May 10.
