Nilsson v Salaverria for Spanish women's title

Sweden's Emma Nilsson, conqueror of Scotland's Kelsey MacDonald in the second round and European Young Masters girls' title-holder Klara Spilkova in this morning's quarter-finals, will meet Spain's Nerea Salaverria in Sunday's 18-hole final of the Spanish women's international amateur championship at Golf Platja de Pals, Gerona.
Spilkova ended the British challenge in the round of the last eight. She beat England's Hannah Barwood (Knowle) by 5 and 3 before losing by 4 and 3 to Nilsson in the semi-finals.
The No 2 seed, Anna Arrese (Spain), seeking to complete an Iberian double - she won the Portuguese women's amateur championship at the end of January, surprisingly lost at the 19th to Sweden's Louise Ridderstrom in the quarter-finals.
Ridderstrom went down by 4 and 3 to Salaverria.
