SCHOOLS OUT FOR BOY AND GIRL GOLFERS
AT GULLANE ON MONDAY

The Scottish Schools Golf Association championships for boys and girls are being held over the Gullane Nos 2 and 3 courses on Monday.
Apart from individual awards to be won for the best 36-hole aggregates, there are places to be won in the Scotland team of 12 boys and six girls for the schools golf international against England at a venue still to be confirmed in September.
Sam McLaren (Perth & Kinross), winner of the Scottish Under-16 boys' stroke-play title at Deeside last year, and South Lanarkshire's Sam Bookless and Paul Shields will be among the favourites for the schoolboys' title.
Kelsey MacDonald (Highland), Pamela Pretswell (South Lanarkshire) and Jane Turner (Edinburgh) are likely to be leading contenders for the girls' championship.
There are 78 boys and 63 girls in the field at Gullane.
