US WOMEN'S OPEN HIT BY WEATHER SUSPENSIONS:
ONLY HANDFUL HAVE PLAYED TWO ROUNDS

At the rate they are going, the United States Women's Open will finish round about next Wednesday.
The thunder and lightning storms never go far away at this time of the year over Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club, Southern Pines in North Carolina and the competitors have been on and off the course like yo-yos since Thursday's start.
There was no play after 3.18 on Friday afternoon because of the threat of severe weather, i.e. lightning, which means only a handful of players have completed their second rounds.
They include Laura Davies who must be wishing she still had to finish because she has had rounds of 72 and 75 and 147 might not make the cut, if they ever have on.
