SALLY WATSON FAILS TO MAKE
MATCH-PLAY STAGES OF
POLO JUNIOR CLASSIC

Sally Watson from South Queensferry, meantime a student at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy, Bradenton, Florida, failed to qualify for the match-play stages of the Polo Junior Classic, one of the most prestigious under-18 junior golf tournaments in the United States.
Sally, pictured left, a 16-year-old Junior Solheim Cup player, had rounds of 80 and 71 for a total of 151 at the Ginn Reunion Resort in Florida.
That placed her joint 38th in a top-quality girls field of 78. Only the leading 32 qualified for the match-play stages. They were headed by Americans Vicky Hurst (72-68), Danielle Fraser (69-71) and Kimberley Kim (67-73) on four-under-par 140.
