ELGA PRESS RELEASE

JODI EWART TIPPED FOR TOP ON US
COLLEGE CIRCUIT BY GOLF WORLD

England international Jodi Ewart has been tipped for the top in US women’s college golf.
The English stroke-play champion from Catterick in Yorkshire was picked out by Golf World when they announced their mid-season awards.
Jodi, a second year student at the University of New Mexico, was identified as:
“The best player you’ll hear of by season’s end.”
Jodi, who is aiming for a place in the 2008 GB&I Curtis Cup team, is currently 19th in US women’s college rankings.
She has been in the top 15 in every event so far this season and her highest finish this autumn was in the Las Vegas Showdown where she tied 11th. She is following-up an outstanding first year in the USA when she was named an All-American, won a tournament, set a college record and won two player of the year awards.
The 19-year-old has just received the English Ladies’ Golf Association’s Silver Tee award in recognition of the way she combines her golf and her education.
