ESSEX-BASED TRISH WILSON
TAKES OVER AS CHAIRMAN
OF LADIES GOLF UNION

FROM THE LADIES GOLF UNION WEBSITE:
Trish Wilson takes over as Chairman of the Ladies' Golf Union today.
Having played county golf from 1977-2006, Trish has been involved in golf administration for a number of years. She has been a member of the England Women’s Golf Association Executive Council for four years and also a selector for England.
Trish, pictured right by courtesy of Tom Ward, sat the R&A referee examination for the first time in 2000 and then again in 2005. Since then she has officiated at major championships and international tournaments including the Vagliano Trophy and the Ricoh Women’s British Open.
Trish joined the LGU in 2005, taking on the role of Chairman of the Training Committee, a responsibility she will continue into 2008.
She is looking forward to her new position; “It’s going to be an exciting 12 months for ladies’ golf especially with the Curtis Cup at the Old Course, St Andrews for the first time this summer.
"I am looking forward to a great season of championships and a busy year moving forward with the new LGU Business Plan now in place.”
Trish lives in Chelmsford, Essex with her husband. They have one son, Stuart (28) and a daughter, Vicky (26).
