Katy McNicoll has much to

do in final Florida round


Katy McNicoll (Lynn University, Florida) from Carnoustie failed to improve her position significantly with a 79 in the second round of the 54-hole NCAA Division 2 Women's South Regional championship at Mission Hill Golf & Tennis Resort, Florida.
Katy, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency (all rights reserved), had an 80 in the first round and her 36-hole tally of 159 leaves her in joint 19th position ina field of 33 players with one round to go.
Johanna Soderstrom (Barry University) leads by two shots with a pair of 73s for 146.
Nova Southeastern (601) lead the team event from Rollins College (607). Lynn University are fifth of 6 on 633.
Meanwhile, Neil McBride from Glasgow and Kevin Duncan from Ellon, both students at Atlanta State University, Georgia are in joint 18th and joint 30th positions in a field of 45 with one round to go in the NCAA Division 2 Men's Southeast Regional championship at The Point Lake Golf Club (par-72, 7,037yd).
Neil has scored 75 and 74 for 149 while Kevin has had a pair of 77s for 154.
Georgia College (580) lead the team event from South Carolina-Aiken (584) with Clayton State (602) fifth of eight.
Niclas Johansson (Georgia College) leads the team event with a pair of 71s for 146.
