Fife girl (13) has ace and a holed

second shot in same round

A 13-year old girl from Fife enjoyed a spectacular round of golf, achieving a hole-in-one and a holed second shot for another eagle, both with her trusty seven-wood at Dunblane New Golf Club earlier this week.

Megan, who has been playing golf since she was 10-years old, has been in a rich vein of form of late, having won the girls' prizes in both the Leven and Dunfermline Junior Opens this week. That form continued at Dunblane New where she racked up 35 Stableford points to clinch second place and secure a spot in the Dunfermline Building Society Junior Masters Final at Gleneagles in October.
A delighted Megan said: “I saw my second shot go in at the fifth after I hit a great seven wood from the middle of fairway. I used the same club for my tee shot at the 11th but it was only when I got up to the green and looked in the hole on the way past that I noticed my ball!”
It wasn’t my best ever round but they were certainly the two best shots of my career.” she added.
The event is Scotland’s biggest participation junior golf championship for boys and girls under the age of 16, with the competition at Dunblane one of five regional finals across the country this summer organised by the Scotti
