Ashludie Burn flooding rules out Holes 6 and 7 for British girls

Man the pumps! The Ashludie Burn has burst its banks, rendering the sixth and seventh holes on the Monifieth Links unplayble for the simple reason that players in the British girls' championship cannot cross the low-level bridges which are under war. The two yellow sticks you see sticking up in the water indicate the normal width of the burn (Cal Carson Golf Agency images, all rights reserved)
And the water level will rise again with High Tide round about lunchtime today (Wednesday).
