Caddies and buggies allowed at

Festival ... but not in Under-16

girls' competitions

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Hacienda del Alamo Festival Organiser
I've had a few queries over the past week or two. Here's an attempt to answer some of them:
Question: Are caddies allowed in the Festival events?
Answer: Yes, for everybody except the Under-16 girls competing in Under-16 events.
Question: Are buggies allowed in the Festival events?
Answer: Yes, except for Under-16 girls competing in Under-16 events. They are too young to be covered by insurance for driving a buggy. They have to walk and either carry or pull their clubs on a trolley unless they are playing in an adults' event, such as the pro-am on the Saturday or the pairs on the Sunday when there no restrictions on them.

Question: Does Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort have electric-powered caddie cars for hire?
Answer: Yes.
Log on to the following: http://www.clubdegolfhda.com/eng/index.html and you can see the full range of what can be hired at the Golf Resort.
Director of Golf Billy Sim gave competitors discounted prices for buggies, etc for the 2008 Festival and he will almost certainly be doing the same again in February.

Question: Will breakfast be available in the Hacienda del Alamo clubhouse before competitors go out in Festival competitions?
Answer: Yes. First players off the tee in any event will not be before 9am. Plan is for Continental Breakfast to be available on a self-service basis. But there will be Clubhouse restaurant staff on duty to prepare cooked breakfasts should there be a demand.
