Katy McNicoll seventh in SunshineState Conference championship
Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll, a senior (final year) student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, finished seventh in a field of 40 for the Sunshine State Conference women's golf championship at Lake Region Yacht & Country Club, Winter Haven in Florida.
It was 21-year-old Katy's highest ever finish in the championship with rounds of 73, 77 and 78 for 228 over the par-72, 6037yd course. After sharing the first-round lead, she finished five shots behind three players who tied for the title on 223.
Lynn University (919) finished third of eight in the team event won by Rollins (902) from Nova Southeastern (909).
