Home-course junior member Sophie Alexander and Maria Duncan (Aboyne) won the Aberdeenshire woman-girl greensomes golf tournament at Deeside Golf Club today (Sunday).
They combined for a scratch total of 79 to win by six shots from the all-Deeside pairing of teenager Megan Clyne and Stella Black.
Yet another Deeside junior Kirsten Pryde and former Aberdeenshire champion Julie Henderson (Inverurie) finished third with an 87.
The top handicap award continued the Deeside dominance of the prize list with Vicki Power, a junior, and Jayne Leith, both members of the Bieldside club, leading the net returns with 73.5 off 20.5 deduction (half their combined handicap). Vicki and Jayne are pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency on the right.
They won by two shots from the mother and daughter Deeside pairing of Lesley and Lauren Watson with a net 75.5 off 21.5.
Third best net were the all-Alford combination of junior Hannah Bycroft and Elizabeth Irvine with 76.5 off 15.5
