STUDENTS' 2ND ORDER OF MERIT TOURNAMENT

MacDONALD (Stirling) TOP CLASS AT CRAIL


Heriot Watt University student Malcolm Pennycott and Stirling ’s repeating Scottish Under-21 champion Kelsey MacDonald were the winners at the Scottish Universities’ second Order of Merit stroke-play tournament over 36 holes in inclement weather at the Crail Golfing Society ‘s Craighead Links.
Malcolm had rounds of 72 and 76 for a total of 149, against a CSS of 77 and 76, to head the men’s returns by one stroke from David Booth ( Stirling ), last year’s Scottish youths champion.
Nairn Dunbar GC member Kelsey shot 76 and 81 (CSS 75 and 74) for 157 and won by a single shot in a tight finish from Scotland international team-mate Jane Turner (Robert Gordon University) with Rebecca Wilson (Stirling) a futher shot behind in third place.
