RACHEL BELL CLAIMS QUARTER-FINAL PLACE
WITH 21st HOLE WIN OVER SAHRA HASSAN

This morning's quarter-finals line-up at Alwoodley GC, Leeds in the rain-delayed Ladies British open amateur championship is:

Carlota Ciganda (Spain) v Michele Thomson (McDonald Ellon).
Breanne Loucks (Wrexham) v Caroline Westrup (Sweden).
Krystle Caithness (St Regulus) v Anna Nordqvist (Sweden).
Rachel Bell (Ganton) v Liz Bennett (Brokenhurst Manor).

The third-round matches which were halted last night at 7.03pm because of a bad-weather warning were completed this morning.
Results:

Caithness beat Rachel Connor (Manchester) 2 and 1.
Nordqvist bt Karin Kinnerud (Sweden) 3 and 2.
Bell beat Sahra Hassan (Vale of Glamorgan) at 21st.
Bennett bt Kira Meixner (Canada) 3 and 2.

Krystle Caithness won the 16th and halved the 17th to win by 2 and 1.

Anna Nordqvist won the 15th and 16th for a 3 and 2 victory.

Liz Bennett halved the 15th and won the 16th for a 3 and 2 win.

Rachel Bell squared her match at the 18th against Sahra Hassan who bogeyed that hole.
Rachel won with a birdie 4 at the 21st, sinking a long putt.
