HSBC World match-play championship field
confirmed for Wentworth next month

Henrik Stenson and Søren Hansen have secured the final two places in the 16-man HSBC World Match Play Championship field as the leading two European Tour players, not already qualified, on the European Tour Order of Merit, as of today.
The following players have qualified and accepted their invitations to compete for the largest first prize in golf of £1 million at the West Course of the Wentworth Club,11-14 October:

HSBC European Tournaments Ranking:

2007 European Tour Order of Merit:

Now in its 44th year, the tournament is officially sanctioned by the European Tour with the results counting towards the European Tour Order of Merit and Official World Golf Ranking Points. Total prize money will be £2,440,000 with all matches being decided over 36 holes.
