DISAPPOINTING FLORIDA FINISH
FOR CARNOUSTIE'S KATY McNICOLL


Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll finished a disappointing joint 23rd in a field of 33 for the NCAA Division 2 Women's South Regional college golf championship at Mission Hills Golf & Tennis Resort, Florida today.
Katy, a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, had rounds of 80, 79 and 79 for a total of 238 over the par-72, 6165yd course.
In her final round, she had a quadruple bogey 8 at the 13th and double bogeys at the short eighth and long ninth. On the credit side, Katy did have birdies at the first, 10th, 14th and 16th.
She finished 15 shots behind winner Sandra Changkija (Nova Southeastern) with 72, 76 and 75 for seven-over-par 223.
Lynn University (954) finished fifth of sixth in the team event behind Nova Southeastern (902).
