Gwladys Nocera leads BMW
Ladies Italian Open
by two shots

European ladies No 1 pro golfer Gwladys Nocera from France shot a second round of one-under-par 70 to take a two stroke lead into the weekend at the BMW Ladies Italian Open at Tuscany.
Nocera, picture right by courtesty of Ladies European Tour website, who won the tournament in 2006, finished the day on seven-under-par ahead of three players on five-under.
Overnight leader Maria Hjorth carded a two-over 73 to share second with Spain’s Carmen Alonso, who had a 70 and Welsh Solheim Cup star Becky Brewerton, who shot 71.
Denmark’s Lisa Holm-Sorensen was fifth on four-under-par.
South Korea’s Amy Yang had her second hole-in-one in two months at the 168-yard 17th hole, where she hit her seven-iron. There was no prize for an ace at this particular hole - although had she holed out at the par-3 fifth hole then she would have won a BMW.
Yang also aced the 153-yard seventh hole in the third round of the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open in May using the same club, a lucky seven-iron.
Yang, winner of the 2006 ANZ Ladies Masters as an amateur, claimed her maiden professional victory at the HypoVereinsbank Ladies German Open, the week after her first hole-in-one, which could bode well for the 18-year-old heading into next week’s US$3.25 million Evian Masters in France.
