KRYSTLE SPARKLES EARLY ON
AMERICAN COLLEGE CIRCUIT

Curtis Cup Scot Krystle Caithness made a solid start to the new United States women's college circuit with scores of 70 and 72 for a two-under-par aggregate after the first two rounds of the 54-hole Duramed Fall Preview tournament at Caves Valley golf course, Owings Mills in Maryland.
In a top quality field, Krystle, a 19-year-old student at the University of Georgia, was lying third at the end of the day, four shots behind the leader, Jennie Arseneault (Virginia) who had 68 and 70 for 138.
Krystle, from Cellardyke, Fife, was only two off the pace until she double-bogeyed the par-4 ninth. She had started her round at the 12th and had birdies at the 13th and 14th, bogeys at the 17th and 18th followed by birdies at the first and fifth before her 6 at the 346yd ninth hole.
American Curtis Cup star and the new US women's amateur champion, Amanda Blumenherst (Duke) was down the field with 77 and 72 for 149.
