Scots ranked 10th in Europe after
last-day defeat by Dutch

Scotland were beaten 3-2 by the Netherlands in their final Flight 3 match of the European senior women's amateur team golf championship at Wouwse Plantage Golf Club in Holland today.
Details:
Foursome: M Smith (Tain), M Tough (Falkirk) lost to W Langelaar, N Goossens 3 and 2 (0-1).
Singles: L Bennett (Ladybank) bt J S Sluyter 6 and 5, F De Vries (St Rule) bt M J Groenewoud 3 and 2, J Harrison (Cruden Bay) lost to CD Vidor 2 and 1, F Hunter(Baberton) lost to J Hehenkamp 6 and 4 (2-2).
The Scots were ranked 10th in the final standings.
Last-day results
Flight 1 - Championship: Sweden 3 1/2, Spain 1 1/2. Third/fourth place: England 1 1/2, France 3 1/2.
Flight 2: Fifth/sixth place: Ireland 3 1/2, Belgium 1 1/2.
Foursome: M Henderson, V McBride bt C Mounzer, M Wettere at 20th.
Singles: S O'Brien-Kenney lost to S Delport 2 hole, M Madden bt D Pelsor 1 hole, V Hassett halved with L Van Der Linden; H Jones bt L Tanighe 5 and 4.
Seventh/eighth place: Germany 2, Italy 2.
Flight 3: Ninth/10th place: Scotland 2, Netherlands 3; 11th/12th place: Switzerland 3 1 Denmark 1 1/2.
