Fourth place finish by Olivia

Jordan-Higgins at Daytona

Channel Islander Olivia Jordan-Higgins (Charleston Southern University) finished fourth in a field of 78 at the recent LPGA International Xavier Invite women's college tournament at Daytona, Florida.
Olivia, pictured above, had rounds of 75, 71 and 74 for a total of 221 over the par-72, 6065yd course. She finished six shots behind the winneer, Therese Nilsson (Lamark) who had scores of 72, 72 and 71 in winning by three shots.
The three English students at Bethune-Cookman College which is based at Daytona - did reasonably well.
Fern Grimshaw from Dorset came joint 12th with 75, 75 and 77 for a share of 12th place on 226.
A shot behind came Emma Taylor from Devon with 78, 75 and 74 for a share of 16th place.
Hannah Bews from Dorset finished joint 32nd on 234 with scores of 80, 81 and 73.
Nottingham's Harriet Owers-Bradley, a student at Yale University, was a member of the winning team but she herself finished in 38th position with scores of 78,79 and 79 for 236.
Yale (902) won the team title by a single shot from Florida Atlantic with Eastern Michigan (905) third of 15 teams. Bethune-Cookman (916) came fifth and Charleston Southern (932) 10th.
