Hannah Burke and Hannah Lovelock make top 20 in
New Mexico tournament

England's Hannah Burke (Baylor University, Texas) and Hannah Lovelock (Missouri University) finished joint eighth and 15th respectively in a field of 90 players for the Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate women's tournament at the New Mexico State University course at Las Cruces.
Hannah Burke, picture right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, was in contention for a top five place after opening rounds of 72 and 74 but she fell away to a closing round of 79 and a total of 225 over the par-72, 6319yd course.
By contrast, Hannah Lovelock started slowly with an 81 but improved to a second-round 75 and then closed with a one-under-par 71, one of the better last-day rounds. She finished joint 15th on 227.
Individual winner by four shots was Jane Chin (UC Irvine) with 70, 74 and 68 for 212.
UC Irvine (881) won the team event ahead of Baylor (899) with Oklahoma (903) third, Oral Roberts (906) fourth and Missouri (908) fifth in a field of 17 squads.
Meanwhile, Glasgow's Gemma Webster (Ohio State) finished joint 50th in a field of 82 at the Lady Northern college tournament over the Kampen course at West Lafayette, Indiana.
Over a par-72, 6297yd course, the former Scotland international scored 79, 79 and 84 for 242.
Winner was Spanish girl Maria Hernandez (Purdue) with 75, 71 and 71 for one-over-par 217.
She won by four shots from Laura Kueny (Michigan State) and French-Canadian Maude Aimee Leblanc (Purdue) who both totalled 221. Laura scored 77-72-72 and Maude Aimee 74-71-76.
Purdue (895) won the team event from Michigan State (912) and Notre Dame (913) with Ohio State (938) finishing sixth of 14 teams.
