Recari holes 190yd shot to win play-off

for LET's Finnair Masters

Spain's Beatriz Recari eagled the first play-off hole to win the Finnair Masters for her first Ladies European Tour victory today.
The 22-year-old from the famous bull-run city of Pamplona, who was third last year for her first top-10 finish, used a 4-iron to hole out from about 190yd on the 18th hole.
"My mind was blank, but I knew it was a good shot," Recaro said. "Then I saw the crowd go crazy. This will mean so much for my career. I have had two years of hard work and learning, and now I stand here."
Recari and Iben Tinning of Denmark finished tied at 11 under for a 54-hole score of 202.
Recari equalled the course record with a 65 in the opening round Friday, then beat it with 64 Saturday.
Play was interrupted for 45 minutes because of the risk of thunder when Recari's lead had gone from five to two strokes after 10 holes.
"I had not been in this situation, never going out as a leader, and I felt some pressure and was struggling a bit," she said. "But the break was good for me, I could calm down and approach the situation again."
Defending champion Minea Blomqvist of Finland, Becky Brewerton of Wales and Marianne Skarpnord of Norway and Johanna Westerberg of Sweden shared third place at 206.
