Alan Glynn joint eighth in USF Invitational in Florida

Alan Glynn from Middlesex, a student at Xavier University, Cincinnati, was the highest placed finisher of the British students competing in the USF Invitational college tournament at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, Dade City in Florida.
Alan had rounds of 72, 68 and 73 for a three-under-par total of 213 which tied him for eighth place. He had been tied for fourth place until that last-round 73 dropped him four spots.
Xavier team-mate Kieran Lovelock from Surrey shared 36th place on 219 with scores of 74, 71 and 74.
Jack Hiluta (South Alabama) from Chelmsford finished joint 41st on 222 with scores of 75, 72 and 75.
Tom Robson from Waterlooville, Hampshire, a freshman student at Jacksonville State University, Alabama, finished joint 55th on 224 with scores of 74, 75 and 75.
Scot Michael Watson, also a JSU student, from Elgin tied for 112th position in a field of 120 with a total of 237. His individual rounds were 82, 78 and 77.
Matt Stauch (Florida Southern College) was the individual winner by five shots in a generally-low scoring tournament. He had rounds of 68, 65 and 71 for a 12-under-par total of 204 over a 7,153yd course.
