DAVID BOOTH TOP SCOTS STUDENT
IN WORLD UNI CHAMPIONSHIPS


Stirling students David Booth (303) and Paul Betty (312) finished joint 12th and 29th respectively behind men's title winner Leonardo Motta (Italy) (290) at the world universities' golf championships in Sun City, South Africa.
England's Andy Shakespear, competing for Great Britain, won the bronze medal with a total of 294.
Robert Gordon University's Laura Murray (329) from Alford finished 30th in the women's championship won by France's Marion Ricordeau by three shots with a total of 299.
Great Britain (895) finished third in the men's team event behind Japan (876) and Spain (895) and seventh with a total fo 629 in the women's team championship won by United States (601).
