Girls help England to victory
in schools’ international

PRESS RELEASE ISSUED BY ENGLISH WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION
A quartet of girl golfers played a key role in England’s 9½-8½ victory over Wales in the annual schools’ international.
English schools’ champion Jamie-Leigh Voss from Leicestershire, Under-16 champion Rebecca Heeles from Norfolk, North of England title-holder Holly Clyburn from Lincolnshire and Midlands winner Elizabeth Mallett from Warwickshire contributed five points out a possible six to the scoreline.
The mixed match was played at Cradoc Golf Club, Brecon, and the girls produced some excellent golf in tough, wet and windy conditions.
The boys won 4½ points from 12 matches.

Singles
Voss beat Bradbury 2 and 1.
Clyburn beat Rees 7 and 6.
Mallett beat Thomas 4 and 3.
Heeles lost to Carling 1 hole.
