ROSEANNE NIVEN MAKES TOP 3O
IN SEASONAL DEBUT IN USA


Roseanne Niven finished joint 27th in a field of 95 players on her seasonal debut on the United States women's college circuit.Roseanne, a student at the University of California-Berkeley, had rounds of 72, 76 and 73 for a five-over-par total of 221 in the Ptarmigan Fall Classic at Ptarmigan Country Club, Fort Collins in Colorado.Starting at the third hole, the British stroke play champion from the Crieff club had a double-bogey 6 but her game picked up near the end with birdies a the 12th, 14th and 15th and an eagle 3 at her last hole, the second.English students Hannah Burke (Baylor University) and Natasha Podmore (San Francisco University) finished joint 15th and joint 27th respectively.Hannah had scores of 71, 74 and 71 for 216, her final round including birdies at the first, second, 11th and 13th.Natasha joined Roseanne Niven on 221 with scores of 74, 73 and 74. The Appleton player had a game of two halves for her final 74 - out in 33 and back in 41. She birdied the second, fifth, seventh and ninth with only one bogey, at the eighth, in her outward half. On the way home, she had no birdies but five bogeys.One of Roseanne's team-mates Shannon Yocum won the individual title with 71, 67 and 70 for an eight-under-par total of 208.California-Berkeley won the team title by six shots from Colorado.
