VIKKI DIGS IN WITH A 71 IN CALIFORNIA

Vikki Laing consolidated her position within the top 20 with a third-round 71 - her best score so far - to be lying joint 17th on level par 216 in the LPGA Tour School Sectional Qualifier at Rancho Mirage, California.
The top 30 and ties after one more round will advance to the Final Q School at Daytona Beach, Florida from December 3 to 7.
South Korean Sun-Ju Ahn has been joined in the lead at 12-under-par 204 by Swedish amateur Anna Nordqvist, winner of the British women's open amateur title at North Berwick in June.
Nordqvist had a third-round 67 while Ahn had a 72.
Michelle Weir scored a 74 to drop to fourth position on 209.
