VIKKI DISAPPOINTS AT CINCINNATI

Vikki Laing from Musselburgh had a disappointing opening round of five-over-par 77 in the US Futures Tour's $100,000 Duramed Championship at Stonelick Hills Golf Club, near Cincinnati, Ohio.
Vikki had halves of 40 and 37 over the par-72 (36-36), 6,349yd course.
South Wales amateur Natasha Morgan, a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, was the leading British player in a field of 144 with a round of 76 (40-36).
Brenda McLarnon from Belfast had a 79 (41-38).
Eunjung Yi, based in California and winner of the 2005 US Women's Amateur Public Links championship, leads the field by one shot with a 65 (31-34) which included only 26 putts.
The leading 70 and ties after 36 holes will go forward to the final round.
