Essex girl Nicola Race keeps

on winning in States

Essex girl Nicola Race, a student at Redlands Community College, Oklahoma, just keeps on winning.
The scoring was nothing to write home about but Nicola won the UMHB Lady Cru Spring Invitational at Mill Creek Golf Club, Salado, Texas by two shots with a pair of 78s for 10-over-par 156 over a 5816yd course with a seemingly generous par of 73.
Redlands team-mate Kaitlin Higginbotham was runner-up with 75 and 83 for 158 in a field of 158 players.
Not surprisingly, Redlands CC ran away with the team title, scoring 630, 12 shots ahead of runners-up Western Texas CC in a field of 11.
Nicola, pictured above, winner of the NCAA junior girls' title last season, is being transferred to the University of Mississippi in August.
