Reid and Cooley finished down the field

in USC Collegiate at North Ranch CC

Gavin Reid (Southern California) from Ballynahinch, Northern Ireland and Andrew Cooley (San Diego State) from Surrey finished tied 40th and tied 60th respectivcely in the USC Collegiate at North Ranch Country Club, California.
Over a par-71 course of 6869, the 6ft 4in Reid scored 78, 74 and 72 for 224 and Cooley scored 75, 75 and 79 for 229.
Steve Zeigler (Stanford) won with a nine-under-par total of 204 (71-68-65) by a shot from Andrew Putnam (Pepperdine) (68-71-66) with second-round leader Greg Main (UCLA) fading into third place on 206 (68-70-68), although, to be fair, finishing with a three-under-par 68 can hardly be described as "fading!"
Stanford (839) won the team event from Brigham Young (849), California (858), Southern California (859), UCLA (867), Pepperdine (872) and San Diego State and Fresno State (both 878) in a field of 13 teams.
