Your chance to rent a villa for a week's golf in Murcia, Spain

Top picture shows the 18th hole at the five-star La Torre Golf Resort. Immediately above: An early morning cut for the 16th green on one of several Jack Nicklaus-designed courses in the area.

Editor's note: Rob Humphries is one of the fathers who supported the Under-16 girls' section of the recent 2nd Hacienda del Alamo Women's Winter Festival in Spain. With Rob's permission, I am publishing in full his follow-up note because it contains an excellent offer for any Kirkwoodgolf reader who wants to go on a golfing holiday to the Murcia region of Spain.

Cut-price offer from
HDA Festival
father Rob for his
villa at La Torre
Colin,
Hope you are well and resting after all that organising for the HDA Festival for Women. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip over to Spain to enter the tournament, it was fantastic experience for her. Unfortunately not enough, in my opinion, is done for junior girl golfers so full credit to your efforts and organisation. It was great to play among some superb golfers and the weather helped.
I enjoyed it so much I would like to try and help female/junior girl golfers as best I can.
As you know we were based in our own villa during the Festival at the nearby Jack Nicklaus La Torre Golf Resort.
We have managed to negotiate a special discount of 20% off normal pricing for all of our readers/visitors to Kirkwoodgolf.co.uk for the rental of this beautiful detached villa (pictured above).
The Jack Nicklaus Golf resort is located in Murcia, an area of Spain which enjoys over 300 days of sunshine per year. The detached villa is located on La Torre golf course and is within 15 mins of many other top courses in an area which is fast becoming the home of golf in Europe.
Renters will benefit from discounted resident golf fees at the following courses, El Valle and Hacienda Requilme (both recently held European Tour Hi5ProTour events), La Torre and Mar Menor Golf Resort. Other nearby courses include Roda (home of PGA Europe), Peraleja (the new Seve Ballesteros course), Lo Romero and Mosa Trajectrum. While La Manga and Hacienda del Alamo (home of the HDA Women's Winter Festival of Golf) are just short 25 minutes drive away.
The superb resort is situated just 15 minutes from San Javier’s Murcia airport, or 50 mins from Alicante, so golf in the sun is nearer than you think.
The facilities at the La Torre resort include five different restaurants and three bars, along with a fully stocked supermarket if you fancy a quiet night in. If you’re not playing golf every day, there are 15 communal pools to cool off in, and tennis courts to perfect that serve. It also has a large golf practice area and putting green if your game needs working on!
The villa has two large bedrooms (twin or doubles), so therefore can easily sleep a group of four golfers, and two sets of golf clubs are available at the property to use free of charge.
This exclusive offer for golfers from Kirkwood golf, mean that prices start from as little as £200 per week (£50 per person based on a four-ball) so if you want to play some golf in beautiful sunshine throughout the year, don’t delay book now, please email villainthesun94@aol.com for availability, prices and any further information.
I would like to offer 20% discount to any female golfer who would be interested in renting my two bed-roomed villa (pictured above) on already extremely competitive prices, around £495 (£400, including discount) per week at peak time.
Therefore, if four shared, it would cost around £125 per person per week or approximately £100 each with discount.
It is an ideal base to play golf in the sunshine (26 degrees this weekend!).
They would also benefit from residents' green fees on four of the courses.
I would really like to try and assist lady and girl golfers. Wish I could do more in the UK.
Rob Humphries
