CARNIE MAKES TOP 20 IN TENNESSEE

Ellon's Grant Carnie, a student at Brevard College, North Carolina, finished joint 17th in a field of 81 players for this week's Tusculum Invitational men's college golf tournament at Link Hills Country Club, Greeneville in Tennessee.
Carnie, pictured right, had rounds of 72 and 73 for a one-over-par total of 145 - seven strokes behind the four-shot winner, Christopher Marsh (Coker College) who had a pair of 69s for 138.
Carnie fared best of the four Brevard College Scots in the field.
Craig Galloway from West Lothian tied for 29th place with 73 and 75 for 148; Aberdeen's Tom Rennie scored 75 and 77 for 152 and a share of 46th place while Myles Johnston (Bo'ness) shared 64th place with scores of 79 and 80 for 159.
Coker College (564) won the team title ahead of Limestone College (570) with Brevard College (594) seventh in a field of 14 teams.
