Michele slips back to seventh place

with a 74 on Florida circuit

Ellon's Michele Thomson slipped back to seventh place with a two-over-par second round of 74 in her second outing on the SunCoast Ladies Tour at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club, Apopka in Florida today.
Michele, who scored her first win as a professional on this mini-tour the week before last, had opened the three-round tournament with a par-matching 72.
On two-over-par 146, the Ladies European Tour rookie has to make up eight shots on the five-stroke leader, Miriam Nagl from Berlin. The German slipped the field with a second-round 67 for 138.
The leader may be out of reach for the Scot but she is still in with a chance of leapfrogging her way into the runner-up spot over Thursday's final 18 holes.
