LORETTO BOYS PIPPED BY MILLFIELD

FOR INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS' TITLE


England's Millfield School pipped Loretto School, Musselburgh, by a single stroke to win the Independent Schools Golf Association Home International golf championship today at Craigielaw.
Loretto led Millfield by six shots after the first round over the Renaisance course at Archerfield Links on Monday, but good scores from Millfield by Alex Quin (72), Ben Taylor (73), Luke Krupa (76) and Harrison Greenberry (76) turned the tables and allowed Millfield, with a total of 614 to win by one shot from their Scottish rivals.
Campbell College, Ireland took third place on 676 and Monmouth College, Wales scored 696.
Individual winners were decided by country with Ben Taylor (147), Lewis Gregory (148), pictured above, Patrick Thompson (160) and Liam McVeigh (165) taking the English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh trophies respectively.
